The Oyo State chapter of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), has condemned the activities of kidnappers and terrorists in the oke- ogun zone of Oyo state.
The state co – ordinator of OPC in Oyo State, Comrade Rotimi Olumo, who stated this in a statement on Thursday, explained that people must be grateful to the Aare Ona Kakanfo, Chief Gani Adams for providing the intelligence report about terrorrrists in Okeogun to the public.
He stated that these suspected terrorists want to use Oke-Ogun to gain entrance to Oyo state because the region shares boundaries with other nebouring countries.
‘It saddens one’s heart that in the past few days this armed groves has engaged in kidnapping and even threatening the livelihood of our people in that area,”he said.
Olumo also revealed that the Aare Onakankanfo has directed him to relocate to the region and ensure that they dislodge the terrorists and kidnappers.
He explained that the main reason why OPC was established is to protect and fight for the right of Yoruba land.
He maintained that OPC will collaborate with all relevant security agencies to ensure there is peace and tranquility in the state.
He also advised all kidnappers and terrorists to leave as a matter of urgency before they meet their waterloo.
