Over 150 women were empowered at the first event of Taoreed Lawal Foundation in Ibadan on Saturday as part of efforts to make women in the community self reliant.

Taoreed Lawal, the founder of the foundation, in his speech said he needed to visit and empower his people especially during the fasting period. Though he has been doing a lot of philanthropic activities outside Oyo State, he felt the need to come back home. As the popular saying goes, Charity begins at home. He thanked everyone for coming for the empowerment and also promised to do a lot more.

As we are in the period of fasting, the Ramadan Lecture will hold on Wednesday the 5th of May 2021 at Abbey Technical College, New garage in Ibadan.
