Sunday Dare Renovates Youth Center To Assist Ayede Poly Take-off

    For a smooth takeoff of the newly established Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports has renovated the National Youth Development Center, Iresaadu in Surulere local government.


    Dare, who chairs the implementation committee, said that he had to approve 100 million naira from his budget to fix the centre in order to make it habitable for the take off of the institution.

    Speaking at the handing over of the sports arena to his Ogbomoso hometown, the celebrated journalists said the facility was put in place in order to assist in development of sporting talents, urging the people to make good use of it.


    Apart from the sporting facility which has a lawn tennis court, 5-aside football pitch and a table tennis court, the four-flat building will be used for skill acquisition purposes.

    According to him, “I appreciate everyone for coming around to join our dear state, our city for the commissioning of the facilities .

    “This facilities will help in producing talents that can represent Nigeria in a global competition like Aruna Quadri and many more”.

    “I also appreciate the efforts of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, for their support so far and to reiterate my commitment to sports development. I approved 100 million for the reconstruction and refurbishment of youth center in Iresaadu so as to serve as Ayede Polytechnic. It has not been in use for ages.”

    The Sports minister also donated a wheelchair to a physically challenged woman, Mrs Kehinde Abdulrahman.

    OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that Dare, who is the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso, recently roofed the Sọun Township Stadium Pavilion; provided free eye glasses; donated a bus to the Federal Polytechnic Ayede; donated hostels to Federal Polytechnic Ayede; trained youths on Entrepreneurship skills; facilitated 80-bed capacity Hospital; 1.3 billion Naira Ecological Project; facilitated the renovation of National Youth Development Centre Iresaapa; donation of laptops to LAUTECH ICT department, distribution of COVID Relief Packages, much more and still counting.
