Sun Set At Noon — Olubadan Mourns Kehinde Ayoola

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji has described the death of the Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola as a ‘sun set at noon’.

Olubadan, who disclosed this in a condolence letter to Governor Seyi Makinde, also described the Late Ayoola as one of the most dependable allies of the governor whose untimely death occurred at a time his service were needed most.

He wrote, ” I remember vividly sometimes before the outbreak of the novel Corona virus otherwise known as COVID-19 when many sweepers employed by some contractors staged a protest to the palace to ask for royal intervention to ensure their pay and he was contacted.”

”He stated the Government’s side of the story the most brilliant way he could, saying the payment of the affected workers was just a matter of time as the verification exercise that led to the delay had been concluded.True to his words, the workers were paid at the appropriate time.”

“Therefore, the death of Ayoola at 54 could best be described as sunset at noon. We mourn his passage and condole Your Excellency and indeed his lovely family.

He then pray the Almighty God grant the family of the late former speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
