Sugar’s Media Aide, Amusat, Reportedly Kidnapped In Ekiti

Dr Tunde Amusat, who is the media aide to the lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Temitope Olatoye Sugar has been reportedly kidnapped.

A close associate, who didn’t want name in print, told Insight Oyo that Amusat “was believed to have been attacked by armed robbers along Iwaraja-Efon Alaaye road between 4 & 5 p.m yesterday (Saturday, May 36, 2018) on his way to Ado-Ekiti for Dele Dada’s burial ceremony.”

He added that “but these bandits later turned out to be kidnappers. I had put across several calls to his phone yesterday evening which were not picked. He later called me at about 9pm only for the kidnapper to tell me they are the ones holding him. Please let’s keep praying for his safety and safe release,” said the source in a WhatsApp message.

Though the present condition of Amusat, a Ph.D holder of the University of Ibadan, is yet to be known, it was learnt that his family are apprehensive.
