He wrote: “The dangers of poor mobile telecommunications network in a communities like the Ibarapa region of Oyo State are beyond permutations. They are real, and individual and collective efforts are required to ensure the best is served to compliment developmental efforts going on daily in the region.

“Imagine a situation that requires a swift intervention of the police and the network is crippled or a duress call to health centres while the line fluctuates! What about the effect of epileptic networks on economic activities of residents and visitors to the region? These, among others, clearly establish the needs to revamp the system.

“During the first quarter of this year, we wrote letters to the leadership of National Communication Commission (NCC) and we have been able to make several contacts with the Chairman, Professor Adeolu Akande.

“It is with pleasure that I write to inform you that we received audience from the Chairman, and his good office has made various moves to ensure that mobile communication network in Ibarapa is greatly enhanced. The effects of these moves will be felt in the coming weeks and months. Congratulations to our people, and much gratitude to Prof. Adeolu Akande.

“Together, we can drive Ibarapa to the heights of our dream.”
