Soji Olagunju, CEO Hurlag Engineering Services, Offers LAUTECH Succour

Worried by the imbroglio that has bedevilled Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho, leading to the closure of the institution for about two years arising from negligence and under funding thereby leaving the students to waste away roaming about the streets, the Chief Executive Officer of Hurlag Engineering Services, a world class engineering outfit that majors in installation and maintenance  of mechanical and electrical installations of a number of blue chips companies across Africa, Engr. Olasoji Olagunju, out of magnanimity and concerns for the future of Nigerian students in particular and enhancement of engineering labour force in the years to come has offered to provide succour to the institution in his quest to contribute to development of education in Nigeria.
Olagunju who has a number of alumni of LAUTECH working under his company, attests to the outstanding prowess of the institution’s graduates in the field of engineering, assuring that he would stop at nothing to make sure that the institution that produced such outstanding workforce is adequately supported in order to avail the field of engineering more exceptional workforce in the future.
At a meeting recently held at the instance of Engr Olagunju at his country home in Ibadan, the Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, Prof Michael Olufisayo eulogized his philanthropic gesture, promising that whatever the donor contributes to the development of the university shall be judiciously utilized for the purpose for which it is meant.
During  the course of the meeting, deliberations were made on the areas of need and aside technical support in term of exposure of students to industrial experience, assistance with job opportunities, Olagunju who observed that shortage of facilities in LAUTECH was brought to the front burner during the electioneering campaign said he would offer to support the new government to solve part of LAUTECH problems by making commitment to support the institution with a befitting structure to relieve the institution of the shortage of physical structure.
However while congratulating Engr Seyi Makinde on his victory at the polls, Olagunju advised Makinde to see his gesture as a call for a state of emergency on LAUTECH and admonished other well meaning individuals and corporate bodies to come to the aid of the institution that been a pride of the engineering profession.
