The lawmaker representing Oyo federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi has empowered hundreds of his constituents through a skill acquisitions programme he facilitated.

This came less than two weeks after the two term lawmaker, in conjunction with the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, facilitated a digital training and distribution of laptops to 120 participants.
Speakers who took turn to eulogize the lawmaker, who was once a council helmsman, saluted his commitment to the development of the ancient town.
While handling over the sewing machines to the beneficiaries, Skimeh, as he is fondly called, thanked his constituents for their unflinching supports, promising to do more.
He used the ocassion to reel out his achievements, noting that he has been doing all his best to make sure that his constituents are empowered and be part of economic contributors and not otherwise.
“Having undergone rigorous training in modern fashion designing, youths from Oyo Federal Constituency were empowered with tailoring equipment.
“This is sequel to the training of about two hundred (200) youths in the best agricultural practices and empowerment.
“Few weeks back, about one hundred and twenty (120) Oyo youths were trained in the field of information and communications technology (ICT), where they were given laptops as startups.
“It gladdens my heart to inform you that the clothes that were worn at the graduation ceremony were individually sewn by each of the trainees. This is a clear manifestation that they have been thoroughly trained in the art of tailoring, and, fortunately, they have painstakingly imbibed the training.
“Also, today, I will be inaugurating an ultramodern borehole facilitated through MTN at Cele Area in Oyo. The project is the first of its kind in the annals of our political history. Through the instrumentalities of my office, more projects will be facilitated to Oyo Federal Constituency. All I need from you are your moral and spiritual support in the achievement of our set lofty goals.”
