In a bid to strengthen the security system of Oyo state especially in Ibadan South East local government, a philanthropic, Hon. Oludamilola Oluwole ALA has presented two operational vehicles to the Felele division of the Nigeria Police and Amotekun Corps in the council area.
While presenting the the patrol van to the Nigeria Police Force on behalf of the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the chairman of the Pacesetters Transport Company, Hon. Dare Adeleke said the gesture will further assist in strengthening security architecture of the state
He commended the donor, Hon Oludamilola Oluwole ALA, for complementing the efforts of the state and local governments in providing necessary logistics to security agencies.
In his remarks, the chairman of Ibadan South East local government, Hon. Oluwole Alawode, said his administration also keys into the four cardinal programmes of Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration which security is among the four pillars the state is resting on.
The council boss described the donour of the two operational vehicles as a philanthropist whose the interest of people of Ibadan South East loval government is paramount in his heart
Alawode, therefore, assured the people of the council area of more meaningful programmes through effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders and the sons and daughters of the council area.
The council boss also used the occasion to present motorcycles purchased by the his administration to other security operatives including Odua People’s Congress, OPC, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, among others.
In his message sent to the occasion, ALA said the two patrol vans donated to the police and Amotekun in the LGA was part of his corporate social responsibility.
Hon. ALA said security should be everybody’s concern because it’s only in an atmosphere of peace that any development can thrive.
“I promised to continue to contribute my qouta towards the development of Ibadan South East local government and Oyo state in general,” he said.
