Save My Business — YNorth MD Calls On Govt After Hoodlums Loot Stores In Kwara, Osun, Lagos

The Managing Director of Y North, Nigeria’s largest Indigenous fashion brand, Mr. Babalola Oluwaseun has called on the Federal Government and Governors of kwara, Osun and Lagos to come to his aid after hoodlums looted his store in the three states carting away goods worth over 38million naira.

The MD explained that the suspected hoodlums burgled completely his store at Palms Mall, Ilorin which had over 30million naira worth of goods. While at Osun Mall in Osogbo and SPA Mall in Lekki, goods worth over two and one million naira were carted away respectively.

He condemned the acts noting that many businesses were also affected and only the government can help many business owners who were affected.

He also called on the Kwara state government to ensure looters do not hijack the process of supporting business owners who were affected stating that the use of online forms may become fraudulent as persons who did not lose anything may come out to also claim compensations.

He also noted that it is important for government to do an on the spot assessment should so that those who would be compensated will be those who lost something.

Bamiro also appealed to the federal government to come to his aid at this time that many businesses are struggling to survive.

He also called on well meaning Nigerians home and abroad to assist and save his business from a major collapse.

Mr Bamiro noted that Y North has 60 outlets and stores across the country with about 100 staff working across the country. Adding that it is pathetic for an indigenous brand to experience such a major loss having contributed immensely to to the economic development of the country.
