Former Kano Emir, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, is set to storm Ibadan, the Oyo State capital as part of a familiarisation tour of South West Nigeria, OYOINSIGHT.COM can report.
Between 4th and 5th June, 2021, he would be in Oyo State.
According to details made available to this newspaper, the visit by Sanusi is in his capacity as the new leader of Tijaniya Muslims in the country.
On arrival, he would pay a visit to the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola, before leading the Friday Jummah prayer at Shamusu Shood Central Mosque in Ibadan.
The former CBN Governor is also expected to lead Heads of the Tijaniya movement across the South West on a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and the Olubadan of badan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, a statement by the lead organiser, Mogaji Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem Adanla indicated.
