Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, an aide to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and immediate past Deputy National Youth Leader of APC has dismissed as false, poorly concocted and malicious a viral video allegedly quoting Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi as declaring war on Oyo State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Repete described the video as a crude, fabrication designed to poison the political atmosphere and smear the image of a virtuous woman widely known for her calm disposition, refined character and commitment to peaceful democratic engagement in over two decades as a wife of a senator, governor, notable philanthropist and international businesswoman.

According to the Ona Ara local government born political strategist, Mrs. Ajimobi has categorically disowned the video, urging the public to ignore what she called a desperate act of political mischief by marauders, political desperado and set of unhappy people with the Oyo APC ongoing unity and cohesion.

Repete emphasized that anyone familiar with the Federal Republic of Nigeria ambassador-designate knows she is an educated, internationally exposed businesswoman, a mother and grandmother whose public life has been defined by peace, civility, philanthropy, and bridge building across communities within Nigeria and beyond.

He argued that it is illogical and irrational to suggest that such a loving personality of Mrs. Ajimobi status would threaten the peace of a state where she lives, and have spent fruitful decades of her life, where she has considerable business investments, and conducts extensive pro-people health concerns of the ABC Medical Health facility.

To Repete, the attempt to paint her as a merchant of violence collapses under the weight of her long standing reputation for peace, unity and social cohesion.

Placing the issue within a broader political context, Repete recalled that Oyo State endured years of torture, bringandage, thuggery, violence and instability until the advent of the Abiola Ajimobi administration in 2011, which he said restored order, progress and developments as the Late Ajimobi received both local and international awards and accolades for bringing peace back to Oyo State. He accused the PDP of historical complicity in thuggery and brigandage, alleging that violence was a normal thing under PDP administrations in which Seyi Makinde is now a member. Are we not living witnesses on how this same GSM administration promoted Mukaila Lamidi Auxiliary to stardom and prominence using the weapons of war.

In his view, the current controversy is a calculated diversion, allegedly aimed at shifting public attention from unresolved questions surrounding corruption, embezzlement, misgovernance and unaccountable funds under the present GSM administration as it relates to the N30billion diverted funds of the Bodija explosion released by the Tinubu led Federal government.

Repete concluded that the propaganda sponsored by Oyo PDP has missed its target and will not derail the APCk momentum in Oyo State. He insisted that even if harsh rhetoric were to be selectively remembered in the state political history, it would not absolve the governor and the PDP of its own records. Seyi Makinde threatened war and choruses of violence at Bodija market days before the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye election last year and rechoed the same at the commissiong of the Iwo Road bus garage using vulgar and unstatemanship harsh tones.

Declaring that the APC march toward Agodi Government House in 2027 is anchored on popular goodwill, strategic unity and divine providence.

Repete maintained that the will of the Oyo electorates overwhelmingly aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and it will ultimately prevail in 2027. APC will defeat PDP insha Allah.
