The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has dissociated the institution from a publication by Oyo Insight online publication which was authored by one Olatunde Latinwo, an Ibadan based Educationist.
A statement from the Institution signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale noted that neither the State Governor nor any other person interfered with the day to day administration of the institution.
The Authorities of The Polytechnic, Ibadan noted that so many factors, including the Covid-19 scourge among others are responsible for the delay in the convocation which will be combined and held very soon.
Institutions combine convocation programmes as a result of so many factors known to the highest decision making bodies on academic affairs. In the university system the Senate is the highest decision making body while the Board of Studies is in the same position at the Polytechnics.
The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan wishes to assure the numerous Graduates and current Students of the Institution as well as their parents, Guardians and other publics and Stakeholders that the Institution will not relent in the sustenance of the tradition and culture of excellence which it is known for.
