RAMADAN: Pray For Nigeria — Oyo Deputy Governor Urges Muslims

    The Oyo State’s Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan has enjoined Muslims in the state and in Nigeria to see this year’s Ramadan period as a time to be closer to God.

    Engr Olaniyan said that the self denials associated with the Ramadan should provide the ample opportunity needed by all to live righteously and seek the face of God in all their ways and lives.

    He admonished Muslims in the state to also use the period to pray for both the state and Nigeria in the face of the insecurity and other social malaise plaguing the land now.

    While praying for God’s intervention in the affairs of the country, the Deputy Governor also said that “we should all use this period to pray fervently for the good and prosperity of Nigeria and Oyo State”.
