Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), has felicitated Muslims on the commencement of this year’s Holy Month of Ramadan, thanking Allah for granting them good health and vitality to witness, as well as participate, in the observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Lanlehin, in a statement released in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, by his Media Bureau, specifically lauded Nigerian Muslims in general, and Oyo State Muslims in particular, for their unwavering belief in the progress of Nigeria, and their prayers for her peace and prosperity, charging them not to relent.
“This month, I call on Muslims to observe the tenets of the month, which includes fasting, prayer, reflection and community service, as they devote their time to good deeds. They should also devote their time to salat, and the recitation of the Holy Quran” Lanlehin said.
Calling on the rich and affluent to consider the provision of aid and other necessities, that will make fasting convenient for the needy, poor and indigent, Lanlehin reminded them, that doing so, especially during this month, is noble, rewarding and godly.
Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), therefore, charged Muslims to live in peace with others, as they continually seek the face of Almighty Allah, over the challenges besetting the nation. With prayers and supplications, the former Oyo South Senator believes things would turn around for good.
“May Allah reward Muslims bountifully, now and in the hereafter,” Lanlehin prayed.
