In a bid to assist her constituents as the holy month of Ramadan begins, renowned Nollywood entrepreneur and politician, Hon. Funke Adesiyan has commenced the distribution of food items to Muslims in Ibadan South East / North East local governments.
According to Adesiyan, who is the Special Assistant to the First Lady of the country, Dr. Aisha Buhari, on domestic affairs, the need to distribute the items was borne out of her desire to ease the burden of the people, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.
In her words, “Government at all levels are doing their bits. We have got to also do whatever we can do within our means. We need to show love to the people.
“This outreach I’m embarking on is my own bit. Let each one of us help another. By doing so, the society would be better; we have to show love to our neighbors because we are all we’ve got”.
