Police Debunk Killings In Ibadan, “They Are Fake News”

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr Shina Olukolu has debunked the rumour making rounds on different social media platforms that some notable people had been killed in Ibadan. 

This is contained in a statement  by the Commissioner of Police, Mr  Olukolu.

The statement notes that the story which broke in the early hours of today(10th March 2019) was fake news and should therefore be disregarded.

  

It notes that the fake news had led to  confusion and unnecessary panic in the city,which was uncalled for.

It adds that the command has begun investigation into all the alleged crises that occurred during the 2019 Gubernatorial and house of Assembly election.

The statement while allaying the fears of the public pledged that the security of lives and property of the citizenry remains paramount to the Police,urging them to go about their lawful businesses.
