Four days days after members of the Park Management System in Oyo State clashed with suspected thugs at Aliiwo area of Ibadan, the state capital, the state government has remained silent on the incident.

OYOINSIGHT.COM earlier reported how the clash between the park managers under the leadership of Mukaila Lamidi Auxiliary and the thugs, popularly known as Isota boys, reportedly led to the death of three.

Several residents were also injured while trying to scamper to safety during the clash.

Multiple but varying accounts of what led to the clash placed the event to commission the new bus terminal at Challenge by Governor Seyi Makinde at the centre of what led to the fracas.

The continued silence of the state government follows a trend of similar inaction on insecurity incidents involving park managers in the state.

The government’s inaction, many analysts told OYOINSIGHTS, is an indication that they enjoy the support of the current administration in the state.
