Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Akin Dare has declared that plans were underway to champion the cause of rebuilding the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.
Dare was said to have made the declaration while receiving members of the Oyo State Aspirants Forum who paid him a courtesy call in his office at the National Stadium, Abuja.
He assured all members of the APC that the leadership of the party at the National level would very soon put machineries in place to ensure a virile and strong party in oyo state.
According to him, “the leadership of the party will bring everyone on board to ensure that the party is restructured and well positioned for future challenges”.
“Leaders of the party are not unaware of what led to the defeat of the party in the state. I want to assure you that they will do the right thing in due course “he added.

He solicited for the support and cooperation of all Nigerians to the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari while appealing to all members of the APC in oyo state to remain steadfast and loyal to the party.
Earlier, the Oyo State Coordinator of the Aspirants forum, Comrade Akeem Ayo Babalola congratulated the Minister on his well deserved appointment into the Federal Executive Council.
Babalola who expressed optimism that the Minister is well groomed to contribute his own quota at the National level observed that ‘so far the people of oyo state are proud of you as their representative ‘.
He noted that members of the forum were ready to partner with the Minister in ensuring a strong and virile oyo state APC.
“We are not asking for too much. All we want is a party that will keep to its rules. All we are demanding for the party to guarantee justice and equity among its members. A situation where no primaries was held before the last general election will no longer be tolerated “he submitted.
