PHOTOS: Skimeh Renders Account Of Stewardship, Splashes N22m On Constituents, Facilitates ICT Centres

The people of AFIJIO, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West, better known as Oyo federal constituency, were on Eid-l-Kabir’s eve dazzled as their lawmaker, who is representing them for a second consecutive term in the house of representatives, Prince Akeem Adeyemi, reeled out his achievements in two years.

The Oyo prince also announced that apart from the three information communication technology,  ICT, centers he facilitated in three secondary schools within his constituency, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, representatives of the management EACOED, and Federal College of Education, FCE, (Special), got letters of award for the construction of ICT centers on their campuses to aid e-learning in the institutions.

At the capacity-filled Atiba town hall, venue of the event, Skimeh, as the former chairman of Atiba local government is called by admirers, splashed twenty-two million naira on his constituents.

The beneficiaries, drawn from various segment of the society, included youths, women, associations, artisans, market people, petty traders and non-indigenous groups.

The gesture, according to the chairman of the reps’ committee on communications, was in a bid to fulfil all the promises made to his people.

Skimeh, who said that he has empowered and assisted his people in the areas of education, agriculture, water, infrastructure and his primary assignments which are sponsorship of bills and raising motions, gave out cash support for communities.

He revealed that before coming up with the empowerment scheme, he had met with all artisans, associations and community leaders and religious groups to know where they need supports.

He, however, promised not to relent on efforts aimed at bringing more development to his constituency, soliciting the support of his constituents.

Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo; Oloye Adebayo Adelabu, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 election in Oyo State; community, religious and political leaders as well as beneficiaries were full of praises for the lawmaker.
