Family, friends and politicians early this morning stormed the Ondo Street, Bodija, Ibadan residence of former governor Rashidi Ladoja to offer prayers to Allah for sparing his life till 74.
At the prayer for Ladoja, who is the Osi-Olubadan of Ibadanland and a leader of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, were politicIans who included top governorship aspirants in the state, the 13 ADC lawmakers in the Oyo State House of Assembly and others.
Other leaders of the ADC, which included two former secretaries to the state government of Oyo State, Chiefs Michael Koleoso and Olayiwola Olakojo were around to share the joy with Ladoja.
An obviously elated Ladoja, who was flanked by his two wives- Mrs Mutiat and Barr. Yinka Ladoja, was full of thanks for the ‘surprise package’.
He was later joined in the cutting of cakes after Islamic clerics concluded the prayers.
