For members of ATISBO/Saki East/Saki West federal constituency, the new year began on a good note as their representative in the green chamber of the national assembly, Hon. Olajide Olatunbosun, has not stopped putting smiles on their faces.
Unknown to them, Olatunbosun had, apart from the financial support and food stuff he distributed during the festive season, planned to give out cars to three of his constituents.
The trio of Alhaji Muritala Okoko who is the chairman of Saki Parapo, the umbrella body of all Saki indigenes; Alhaji Tajudeen Adesola Bata and Alhaji Sikirullahi Bamimore, who are members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, were handed keys of their Toyota Corolla cars recently.
Olatunbosun, a chartered accountant and two-term member of the House of Representatives, said the gesture was “just a token to appreciate them for their support thus far. I just felt the need to put smiles on their faces.”
He added that “This is apart from the bills and motions we have sponsored and moved. This is apart from the developmental projects we have facilitated to the federal constituency. We have also facilitated jobs for our teeming youths. We will continue to do our best to ensure our people are catered for,” he added.
