Lanlehin was on a campaign tour of Ibadan Southeast/Northeast local governments, which began at Adelabu Market, Orita Challenge, and which was attended by ADC chieftains like Amb Taofeek Arapaja, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Hon Wale Adegoke and Barrister Lowo Obisesan. Others included Hon Dapo Lam Adesina, Member representing Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Federal Constituency, Hon Fatai Adesina and Hon Akeem Ige, Members representing Ibadan Southeast Constituencies I and II respectively.

The obviously elated Lanlehin stopped his convoy to exchange felicitations with the new born babies and their parents.

“These babies have been born at a very good period in our history. This is because by the time they’ll start schooling, they’ll be attending free schools,” Lanlehin assured.

In fulfilment of traditional rites at naming ceremonies, Lanlehin donated an undisclosed amount of money to the new born babies.
