PHOTOS: Lam-Adesina Commissions 29th Borehole, Organises Free Health Care

For Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, son of former governor Lamidi Adesina, losing his re-election bid to the House of Representatives, would not stop him to putting smiles on the faces of his constituents.

Barely five days after commissioning his 29th borehole project in less than 4 years, his free health mission for residents of Ibadan South East local government took off yesterday at Balaro/Odo-Oba Primary Health Care Centre.

These are apart from the many other projects the former commissioner, who represents Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, has executed.

Commissioning the borehole at a brief event which took place behind Army Barracks Secondary School, Iwo Road, in Ibadan North East local government, Alhaji Yekinni Kolawole, who is the community chairman  commended Lam-Adesina for living up to his words, describing his gesture as a very rare trait that is lost in our political system.

He then prayed that God grant his requests as he has done to the community.

Lam-Adesina, in his address,the people thanked them for the overwhelming support during the electioneering process and that God knows more than humans. He then reiterates that till the last day in office, he still owe the people of his constituency and that won’t make him to relent in doing the needful as their representative.

Yesterday, his 2-day free health mission andoutreach began.

The programme is targeted at bringing close to his constituents, an accessible health care with free drugs which will be of assistance to them irrespective of their socio -economic status and political party.

While giving the opening remark, the state coordinator for National Primary Health Care and Development Agency Mr. Steve Akinrinade said that the provision of good health care by the government to the people is very paramount.

 

He then commended Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina for deeming it fit to bring this to his people as this portray to be a good man beyond the politics.

Olarinde who represents the Primary Health Board congratulated the people of Ibadan North East/South East for coming out in their numbers to benefit from the ongoing free health care programme. He then appreciated the federal lawmaker for not diverting the funds and free drugs meant for the programme as the case used to be in some other constituencies.

Lam-Adesina who was obviously elected with the turn out appreciated them for their continuing support, pledging not to relent to make sure the dividends keep reaching the grassroots.

Alhaji Fatai Oloyede, in his closing remark said he was not surprised by the lawmaker’s wonderful performance because he has always being and have learnt a lot from his late father.

He then urged him to continue being good as it will always pay off today,  tomorrow and everyday.

The opening ceremony which held yesterday had in attendance National Consultant Alhaji Sambo, Chief Matron Mrs. Adetunji, Mrs Akinyemi and Mrs Lawal among other matrons present. Also, the community leaders present are Alhaji Gbadamosi, Mrs. M.A Oluoran, Alhaji Sanusi, Alhaji Lateef Olorokun and Alhaji Fatai Oloyede.
