The people of AFIJIO state constituency have heaped further praise on the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly candidate, Barrister Seyi Adisa, for the latest in his series of people-oriented projects in the constituency, a 4-day free medical outreach aimed at catering for over 2,000 beneficiaries across the council area.

There was palpable excitement and show of gratitude from the people as the outreach reached its final day in Ilora yesterday.

“The only way we can return the favour to Seyi Adisa is through our votes. This man has shown us an entirely different brand of politics where the people come first”, one of the beneficiaries in Ilora said.

In her own words, an Akinmorin resident, Mrs. Toyin Balogun was overly expressive in her own words of appreciation of the APC candidate.

“My children have bags and books from the Ejekaseyi Back2School programme, I have a sister who benefitted from the empowerment programme for 100 youths, now today I just did a free eye check and got free eyeglasses from this Ejekaseyi Medical programme. I am so happy and we are lucky to have Seyi Adisa as our man in Afijio”, she said.

The Seyi Adisa campaign prides itself on running a people-driven campaign, where beyond doling out promises, the campaign has raised different people projects that cut across education, agriculture, empowerment and job creation, social infrastructure and healthcare, for the people’s benefit.

In a statement released before the commencement of the free medical outreach, Seyi Adisa wrote;

“…From the outset, our deal has been to run a governance-driven campaign that will depict the relative ease with which purposeful representation can achieve all-round benefit for the people.

So far, our campaign has deployed experience and a network of influence to improve basic socioeconomic and education infrastructure, train education personnel, assist parents and school children, aid agriculture, create organic jobs via empowerment of the youths; we are moving to healthcare this week.

The Ejekaseyi Medical Outreach will run from Tuesday to Friday of the new week, to give free medicare to an estimated minimum of 2,000 people across the entire Afijio.

Our bigger picture has always been (the) PEOPLE. It will remain so….”

About 2,400 people eventually turned out for the outreach, where a total of 41 surgeries, ranging from hernias to lump removals, were done; a total of 160 free eyeglasses were also given out.
