Jumoke Akinjide, the deputy director (South) of the National Women Campaign Council of the Presidential Campaign Organization was at the Ibadan Airport to see off Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to Abuja yesterday.
Abubakar was in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, via Ibadan, where he had gone to witness the inauguration of Ademola Adeleke as the new governor.
The former minister of state for Federal Capital Territory, FCT, had a brief chat before the departure of the visitors.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that while Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has refused to campaign and identify with Abubakar, Akinjide and some other legacy party members have been mobilizing support for the Adamawa-born politician as Nigeria’s next president.
