Iseyin-born lawyer, Ahmed Raji SAN, has taken philanthropy to a new level as he completed the construction of a 102-room apartment for his kinsmen.
The legal luminary had in 2020 demolished all the houses in his family compound and constructed contemporary homes with en-suite rooms in replacement.
The new structures come with an industrial borehole and a community health centre.
The event drew the creme de la creme of Oke Ogun led by the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba (Dr) Abdul Ganiyy Adekunle Salau, Ajinase 1, the Onjo of Okeho, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Adeitan II and the League of Imams of Oke Ogun. The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District , Senator Abdul Fatai Buhari was also in attendance.
The official commissioning of the apartment was carried out by Nigeria Communications Commission Chairman, Prof. Adeolu Akande.
Akande, in a statement after the event noted that he was honoured.
“It was my honor to commission the industrial borehole that would serve the community.
“Raji rarely dances, but the appreciative women of the community forced him to dance round what is quite possibly the most modern family compound in South-West Nigeria.
“Congratulations my brother, Alhaji Ahmed Raji, the Baba Adinni of Oke Ogun and the Garguan of Yashikra, Kwara State,”Akande wrote.
