In recognition of his contributions towards the socio-economic development of Oyo State in general and Ona-Ara Local Government in particular, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief (Engr) Dotun Sanusi on Sunday at Jogor Center emerged as the recipient of PERA Man-of-the-Year Award.
In a ceremony attended by Chief Bisi Ilaka, Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde; captains of industry, media mogul, entertainers just to mention a few, the choice of Chief Sanusi as the recipient of Man of the year award was a clear one, having singlehandedly changed the fortunes of Ona-Ara Local Government, the council that hosts two his businesses- Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort and Ilaji Farms.
PERA, an acronym of Pacesetter Entertainment and Recognition Awards was a brainchild of Mr. Rotimi Martins popularly known as Alariwo of Africa in the entertainment scene.
While accepting the award which was presented to him Chief Bisi Ilaka, Chief Sanusi, who was accompanied to the event by his heartrob, Chief (Deaconess) Joyce Sanusi, remarked that the recognitions of his contributions to the society is a ‘challenge to do more’.
It will be recalled that Chief Sanusi in conjunctions with Oyo State Ministry of Works earlier this year spent millions of naira in rehabilitating Olorunsogo-Amuloko-Akanran road, a road of about Seventeen Kilometers.

Chief Sanusi is a petroleum engineer, an investor, and a philantropist.
