The lawmaker representing Ekiti South in the national assembly, Sen. Biodun Olujimi, has advised Governor Seyi Makinde to ignore the threat by former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state.

OYOINSIGHT had earlier reported that Fayose threatened Makinde never to interfere in the politics of other South West states, particularly Ekiti.

However, while speaking at a meeting of her faction at Ado Ekiti on Wednesday evening, Olujimi described Fayose as a “political jobber”.

She accused him of working against Makinde, over the latter’s insistence on truth in the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State.

“Makinde is the symbol of the party in the South West. So, anything that must come from the zone must come through him. Fayose and his conspirators’ visit to Uche Secondus was nothing but recreational. I can take anybody to the national secretariat of the party and we take pictures.

“What is important is what was said. While they were there nothing could have been said. We stand by Makinde because nobody can rubbish him and wish him away. This is the best time South West zone needs the governor most when ‘hijackers’ are trying to undermine the party’s structure through egregious conspiracy,” Olujimi said.

The factional chairman of the party in the state, Kehinde Odebunmi, who spoke on behalf of the stakeholders at the meeting also said the party had resolved to give Makinde all the needed support towards bringing South-West PDP out of political oblivion.
