The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye will, on Monday, December 23, 2019, visit three major cities in Oyo state; Ibadan, Iseyin and Ogbomoso, to preach the gospel of the Lord and pray for the people of the state in an open crusade.
This was disclosed by the Pastor in charge of Region 21, Pastor Charles Obasa, while addressing journalist at region headquarters, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, on Tuesday.
Obasa noted that the programme themed: “fullness of time” will see Adeboye spreading the evangelical message of the Lord as primed by the RCCG coming less than 70 hours after the end of the glorious Holy Ghost congress of miracles.
He added that Pastor Adeboye comes to minister in the same programme in the state every two years, his last time was in 2017 where he visited three cities as well.
He disclosed further that Pastor Adeboye will hold Ibadan crusade at the main bowl of Obafemi Awolowo stadium Oke-Ado, Ibadan, in Iseyin, the crusade will come up at the old NYSC Camp, Iseyin while Ogbomoso High school will be the venue for the third crusade of the day holding in Ogbomoso, on the same day.
He added that programme will start by 7:00 am in Ibadan, 8:00 am in Iseyin and 9:00 am in Ogbomoso accordingly.
According to him, “This year, a very important programme of this mission will be taking place in three cities in Oyo state on 23 December.
“Every man under the sun deserves to have access to the word of God. Our mandate is very clear, the RCCG is an evangelical church and preaches the full gospel of the Lord. All our doctrines are bible-based, so every member of this church knows that we must go and witness.
“So, in line with these scriptural injunctions, twice a year, during Easter and Christmas, while others are at home, we decide to sacrifice and go to our neighbourhood all over the world.
“This is to witness, win souls and share the gospel and share the love of Christ.
“Our father in the Lord, Pastor Adeboye comes to our region every two years in December. And whenever he comes, he holds a crusade in three cities. In 2017 December when he was in the state, he was in Ibadan, Oyo town and Ogbomoso.
“This time around, he will be visiting Ibadan, Iseyin and Ogbomoso. We are going to have a crusade in three centres.
“In Ibadan, the venue is the main bowl of Obafemi Awolowo stadium; in Iseyin we are going to use the old NYSC camp and start gathering by 8 am while in Ogbomoso, Ogbomoso High school will hold the crusade by 9:00 am.”
Obasa further added that the church had put in place adequate transportation to move people from about 17 centres in Ibadan. He noted that buses will also convey people from 13 provinces of the church in Ibadan,16 provinces throughout the state and the regional headquarters of the church.
The transport centres are: University of Ibadan, Sango, Beere Oja’ba, Alakia Isebo, Akobo ojurin, oremeji, CRIN, Elebu, Apata, Orita challenge, Omi-Adio, Ologuneru, Eleyele, Amuloko, Akanran and Ilaji.
He noted that Pastor Adeboye will pray for peace and progress of Oyo state, for the government and governor of the state for Godly wisdom to know what to do to rule the people well.
Obasa was supported by eminent ministers of God of the church which include: Pastor Mrs Dayo Akinrinde, Pastor Enoch Tomoloju, Pastor Jude Ojurongbe, Pastor SAMUEL Awobode, Pastor Femi Ogbontiba and Pastor Ajana Akinola.
