Oyo’s COVID-19 Cases Rise From 661 To 764 In 24 Hours

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Oyo State has increased by 103.

This increase occurred after the state recorded 103 new cases on Thursday.

The new number of cases the state recorded on Thursday was the highest recorded between twenty-four hours since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease.

The new cases were announced by the Nigeria center For Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday night.

Oyo State now has the fourth number of confirmed cases in the country after Lagos, FCT, and Kano respectively.

However, at the time of writing this report, the total number of active cases in the state stands at 474 because 281 patients who contracted the virus in the state had tested negative twice.

NCDC also announced that 745 new cases were recorded in the country, which brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 18,480 out of which 6,307 discharged had been discharged and 475 patients are dead.
