On our website publication of Friday, April 17, 2020, we published a story titled: DISCLOSED: Ex-Health Minister Allegedly Tests Positive, Infected UCH Chair Negative To COVID-19. The next day, we published a reaction by Osun State government titled: COVID-19: Adewole Tested Negative Twice — Osun Govt.
We have since discovered that our story lacks factual substance and we hereby retract it in its entirety
We tender our profound apology to Professor Isaac Adewole, former Vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan and immediate past Minister of Health for any inconvenience or embarrassment the publication has occasioned him
We hold Professor Adewole in the highest esteem.
