The meeting deliberated on a plethora of issues peculiar to these institutions and came out with the following decisions.

JAC commended profusely the worker friendly stance of the present administration especially as demonstrated in the regular and punctual payment of salaries and arrears and other emoluments to workers of all sectors and categories.

JAC also commend the open door policy of the administration by giving listening ears to the leaderships of our Trade unions regularly.

JAC however noticed that, in spite of a number of meetings held with government and His Excellency, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde himself, certain issues have yet to be officially resolved as expected.

Following the above, JAC therefore resolved to admonish His Excellency to quickly fill the vacuum of administration in the state owned tertiary institutions by, as a matter of urgency, approve the constitution of Governing Councils to our institutions so that the outstanding statutory issues can be laid to rest without further delay.

JAC also resolved to implore His Excellency to see to the quick conclusion of deliberations on the issue of the consequential adjustment arising from the implementation of the New Minimum Wage in the State noting that although this has been concluded and implemented for other categories of workers in the State except workers in the tertiary institutions sector; this is disheartening.

JAC also believes that, giving the pedigree of His Excellency, these issues can be addressed within the next two weeks as workers in the tertiary institutions sector are already groaning under the yoke of delayed expectations.

JAC finally wishes His Excellency sustained wisdom to realize his lofty dreams for the State.
