In the midst of the novel coronavirus which has been ravaging the world since the beginning of the year, Oyo State government has announced that students in primary six, JSS3 and SS3 resume back to school on Monday.

I implore the Oyo State government not to allow schools to resume by July 6.

Since the cases of the corona virus has kept increasing day by day and no vaccine or cure has been discovered yet, I believe it will be unwise to allow schools to resume for now.

I want you to note that students will not adhere to the guidelines laid down by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) because not all adults are complying with the guidelines.

Students are very stubborn in nature and still have the childish behaviour in them.

In the main time, I advice the Oyo State government not to allow schools to resume and postponed all exams till a vaccine or cure will be discovered and tested to cure the virus.

All students should be in care of their parents and schools should remained closed.

Again, my advice goes to Oyo State government to order the immediate closure of the schools, so as not to risk the lives of the students and the teachers pending the time a vaccine or cure for the virus would be discovered.

Thank you.
