Oyo Refunds N8,064.34 Each To 2019 Hajj Pilgrims

Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim wing) has refunded the sum of N8,064.34 to each of the 2019 Hajj Pilgrims that travelled with the state government.

The Chairman of the Board, Prof Sayid Malik, made this known while briefing the Journalists in his office at the Hajj Camp , Olodo, Ibadan.

Prof. Malik hinted that the state government through the Board has refunded the total sum of N24,628,900 to the 2019 Pilgrims before they embarked on their journey to Saudi Arabia.

He affirmed that a new dawn has truly come to Oyo State going by the gesture extended to the Pilgrims and support given to the Board by the present administration under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, whose transparency and accountability remains his watchword.

The Chairman thereafter warned all the 2020 intending Pilgrims with the state and their coordinator to be wary of fraudsters that may want to dupe them. He then assured the 2020 intending Hajj Pilgrims with the state government of better service in the coming Hajj exercise.
