OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls that Ajani is a former national president of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, and delegate to the 2014 national conference.

In his acceptance speech, Ajani said “I am both humbled and honoured that you have placed your confidence and support in electing me as your President. I feel blessed as I begin this new era and I assure you that the newly elected Exco will always endeavour to reflect the utmost compassion, honesty, and integrity. I would like to thank everyone for your unending love and support, but mostly I thank the Almighty God. It is with His fear that I will continue to serve you people. I believe we can build on the progress of the interim Exco and continue to fight for new opportunities for all and sundry

“Many of you spent hours contributing to the campaign and I sincerely thank each of you. The essence of great leadership is influencing not authority. I look forward to working with you all to advance issues of importance to our 92’Set. To the award winning IBEC team and many volunteers who came forward to assist with my campaign, I say a big thank you! We could not have succeeded without you. To the other Presidential candidates who ran in the election, I thank you for participating in the democratic process. Our 92’ sets’ are better for it. I will try my best to fulfill your expectations and will try to never let you down.

“From today I take on these new responsibilities knowing that I stand on the sturdy shoulders of dedicated mates. I believe that I could represent you guys when in need and take charge when necessary. I also feel that I could further strengthen the relationship with our Alma Mata and BAOSA National leadership.

“I am passionate about serving others. I will look forward to continuing to work with you as your President. However, you also should continue to provide us feedback we need to do it as it should be done. For now, I thank you once again as we will make you proud. I promise you, as president I will do my very best to listen and ensure transparency.”
