Oyo 2019: Makinde ‘Oils’ Campaign, Sets Up 351 Ward Volunteers

Ahead of the 2019, Engr Seyi Makinde is leaving no stone unturned it his bid to succeed Governor Abiola Ajimobi whose tenure ends in 2019.

Apart from the bus he donated to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, he has bought several other buses and sports utility vehicles to be used for the campaign purpose.

This is apart from the renovation work on his campaign office at Idi Ape area of Iwo Road, Ibadan.

The oil magnate also recently appointed Chief Jacob Adetoro to coordinate the appointment of volunteers across the 351 wards in the state. 

In the next few weeks, inside source told OYO INSIGHT, Makinde will begin consultations and tour of all the local government areas in the state so as to intimate stakeholders of his bid to contest the 2019 governorship polls.

Makinde, it would be recalled, doled out N50 million worth of bursary to Oyo State students in various tertiary institutions recently.
