The Oyo State Government this Friday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kehinde Ayoola, who died yesterday.
The Government delegation was led by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan. He said “we can’t help it,we have lost him already, but we have to let people know that Kehinde was an active player in this government at the State Executive Council Level.”
“This is unexpected, I am shot of words, we have lost him already, he wasn’t a dormant member. We set out together to reset Oyo State, unfortunately, we lost him”
On the entourage to the deceased residence were the Secretary to the State Government, Olubanwo Adeosun, Head of Service, Ololade Agboola, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa among others.
Consoling the wife of the deceased, Prof Olukemi Ayoola, Olaniyan described the demise of Ayoola as unexpected and a great loss of an active player in the Gov Makinde administration
He consoled the wife, children and the entire family of the decease to accept the heartfelt sympathy of the state cabinet and the people of Oyo state.
Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Beel’Oluwawi Ayoola, thanked the government delegation for the visit.
The late Ayoola, was born in Oyo town in January 1965 and attended St. Michael’s Primary School, Oke Ebo, Oyo, Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo and the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife, in Osun.
He served as the Speaker of the 4th Session of the Oyo State House of Assembly under the Lam Adesina administration.
He was the state commissioner for Environment, until his demise on May 14th.
