The Muslim Community of Oyo State has paid a congratulatory visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his ascension to the throne.
In a statement released at the end of the visit, signed by its Chairman, Kunle Sanni and Secretary-General Murisikiyu Siyanbade, the community described Ladoja’s ascension as God ordained.
The statement read: “It deeply gladdens our hearts, that it has pleased Allah, the owner of sovereignty, that our own father, Alhaji Senator Rashidi Adewolu is ascending the throne of his forefathers. It has been your prayer, for which you have patiently and resiliently waited on Allah and He has graciously granted your heart’s desire, Alhamdulillah.
“We shall continue to appreciate your unceasing philanthropy to the cause of Islam. We shall forever remember your huge donation towards the completion of our temporary Secretariat at Samonda; your big contributions towards University of Ibadan Central Mosque and Conference Hall; the multiple millions you spent towards the completion of Bodija Estate Muslim Community Islamic Centre; amongst many others.
“May Allah replenish your purse exponentially and reward you abundantly, both here on earth and in the hereafter. We thank you very much sir. This is the first time in the history of Olubadan ascendancy, that a man-of-the-people, purely loved tremendously by the people of Ibadanland and beyond, is becoming an Olubadan. This is unprecedented. We thank God for you, Your Majesty.
“With your national and international standing, we are sure and we still beseech Allah to enable you attract unprecedented development to Ibadan. May Allah help you in accomplishing all your great dreams of taking Ibadan to great heights. We pray that Allah continues to grant you divine wisdom and long life in sound health.
“During your reign, Ibadanland shall enjoy more peace and prosperity. Long may you reign, Your Majesty. The Muslim Community of Oyo State loves you. Please count on our unflinching support always.”
