Oyo State Government has injected funds into the security infrastructure in the state, the Special Adviser on Security Affairs to Governor Seyi Makinde, Fatai Owoseni has said.
Owoseni stated this on Tuesday while responding to questions on the recent killings in Akinyele local government area of the state.
He assured the people of the state that the government is putting no stone unturned in a bid the curb the crime rate in the state.
He also noted that all the entry and exit points in Akinyele Local Government area would be closely monitored, noting that detectives have been deployed to the local government and its environs and the perpetrators of the heinous crime would be brought to book in due course.
He added that the newly commissioned security command center and the Oyo State Crime Alert Platform in connection with the expanded and refurbished Oyo State Security Control Room would be engaged in fighting crime in Akinyele and in Oyo state at large.
Meanwhile, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Joe Nwachukwu, has revealed the those behind the mystery killings in Alinyele would be apprehended soon.
The Police boss stated this during a visit to Nigerian Tribune in Ibadan on Tuesday.
“Very soon, we will come out with something positive on the cases. There are certain things we cannot reveal to members of the public in order not to jeopardise the investigation, but I want to say that we are working towards solving these crimes and make the state safe for all,” he said
