A socio-political group, Progressive Network, has said that it is happy with the giant strides of Governor Seyi Makinde in his less than 3 months in office.
The group also expressed happiness with the appointment of Mr Sunday Dare as a minister-designate from Oyo State.
The group, in a Sallah message, jointly signed by its coordinator Mr Rasaq Folorunso; Engr Taiwo Fawole (coordinator, secretariat duties); Rasaq Olubodun ( coordinator, communications and strategy); Alaba Bolarinwa (coordinator, mobilization) and Hon. Adigun Hammed Abiodun ( coordinator, organization), said the populist and people-oriented programmes Makinde has embarked on since assumption of office is worthy of commendations.
This is just as the group described Ogbomoso-born Dare as a thoroughbred professionals who has paid his dues and merited the ministerial appointment.
The group, however, warned members of the public to be wary of “pseudo-progressives masquerading as true democrats so as not to fall into the trap of ‘use and dump’, ‘divide and rule’ and ‘elimination by substitution.”
