Governor Seyi Makinde has sent names of three nominees to be screened and confirmed as commissioners to the Oyo State House of Assembly.
It was learnt that Makinde had sent the names of Alhaja Faosat Joke Sunni from Iseyin local government and Professor Rapheal Afonja from Ogbomoso North local government. The governor, in his letter to the lawmakers, further said that he was going to send names of another nominee to make it three.
This newspaper further learnt that Makinde had forwarded the names immediately after the Assembly screened and confirmed the 14 nominees earlier sent by him.
This is just as OYO INSIGHT gathered that the 14 screened and confirmed nominees, would be inaugurated at 10 am tomorrow.
Though the sponsor of the female nominee is yet to be unknown, this newspaper further learnt the professor, was nominated by a former leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande.
It is, however, unsure whether nominees of Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin and the Zenith Labour Party ZLP, made it this time around.
Sources who confirmed the development to OYO INSIGHT, could not confirm whether or not the nominees would be screened today as the lawmakers are on recess till September 15.
