Oyo Govt. Provides Boreholes For Communities

The Seyi Makinde led Oyo State government on Wednesday commissioned two motorized borehole projects at Egbeda local government area.

The borehole project, which was in partnership between LDS (charities) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint and Oyo state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, OYRUWASSA, were located at Harmony Estate, Oke-Omi. Olodo and Ifesowapo-Gbelu Community, Agbala itura, Adegbayi Alakia.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Oyo state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, OYRUWASSA, Engr. Najeem Omirinde, said,

“Portable water will be available for all in Oyo state with the support we are enjoying from His Excellency Gorvernor Seyi Makinde by the Agency, water & sanitation facility will be provided in motor park and market places.”

He added that by 2025, “Open Defecation should stop in our communities”.

The Executive Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde, was represented at the event by the Chairman of Oyo state Teaching service Commission. Pastor Akinade Alamu.

LDS ( charities) was represented by its President, Olubukola Peter Appantaku and Bishop Chris Onwumah.
