Over 400 Islamic clerics in the four local government areas of AFIJIO, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West yesterday endorsed the candidacy of Teslim Folarin, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in tomorrow’s election.
Led by the acting chief Imam of Oyo and Mufasir, Alhaji Abdulazeez Allateef, the head of the AlaluKimba of Oyo, Alhaji Haadi Olayiwola, Alhaji Sulaimon Atiayeyanjue, Alhaji Mogaji Sulaimon, Alhaji Dauda Bayani, Baba Gbete, Baba Bana, Baba Aromole, Baba Baasin(Ojo), Alhaji Adebodun, Alhaji Idowu, Imam Olorunlabe; Imam Awe, Alhaji Muibudeen B Hammed, Imam Ilora, Alhaji Musitapha Lafenwa, Imam Fiditi, Alhaji Abdulazeez Oyelere, they unanimously endorsed Folarin.
Saying that Folarin isn’t an alien to them, they said having people like Engr. Idris Adeoye, Dr Yunus Akintunde (senator-elect) as well as Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi has given them the assurance that he would do better as governor.
