The Oyo State’s Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan has felicitated Christians on this year’s Easter celebration.
Engr Olaniyan said that just as the Lent was a period or renewal, Christians should see the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the triumph over sin.
He enjoined Christians to endeavour to live a holy and righteous life so that the supreme price paid by Jesus Christ on the cross for the atonement of their sins would not be in vain.
The deputy governor said Christians should use the season as a great opportunity to pray for the continued unity of Nigeria and specifically Oyo State so that peace, love and justice shall reigned to enable Nigeria overcome all its challenges.
