The management of Ajayi Crowther University has commended Mr. Aderinola Joshua, who is a 300 level student of the school’s Department of Physics and Electronics, for inventing a solar-powered automatic handwashing, drying and rinsing unit.
The institution commended Mr. Joshua, on Thursday, while showcasing his invention at the school premisis.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, who spoke on behalf of the management team, commended the student for making the institution proud.
The Vice-Chancellor then announced that the management had approved a scholarship award for the student till the end of his current academic pursuit.
The institution also awarded him an employment upon graduation and a cash reward of N100,000.
The student, who was led by the Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Students Matters, Hon. Olojede Victor, also visited the House of Assembly in the state where he met the Speaker, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin and other principal officers.
