In a significant development for the Christian community in Oyo State, Reverend Dr. Elisha Olukayode Ogundiya has been elected as the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State chapter, for a tenure lasting from 2025 to 2030.
Siyanbola Akinkunmi, Founder of Omo-Iya-Kunmi Foundation, in a congratulatory message, described Reverend Dr. Ogundiya as an exceptional leader who has mentored many young people, providing them with crucial motivation to drive positive change in society. Akinkunmi, who had the privilege of growing under Reverend Dr. Ogundiya’s tutelage, praised his leadership style, saying it is etched in a book of glory due to its originality.
“Reverend Elisha has been compensated for his passion in salvation, for his attitudinal behavior towards Christ, and for his unwavering commitment to the Church,” Akinkunmi said. “His leadership will bring unity among denominations, promoting the value of love in the Christian community.”
As Reverend Dr. Ogundiya embarks on this new journey, Akinkunmi prayed that God would grant him the wisdom to navigate the path ahead, making decisions that will benefit the association. “May God be with him and guide him through when making decisions for the association,” Akinkunmi added.
