Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports development has thanked the caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mala Mai Buni for being committed to peace within the Oyo State chapter of the party
In a statement made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM, the Ogbomoso-born politician, he said that the congress chairman, Gambo Lawan, was present when Buni asked them to come tomorrow to decide on a consensus list.
“I thank the APC National Chairman, Governor Mala Buni for the opportunity he gave me to have a meeting with him today in Abuja to discuss the October 30th Oyo APC Congress.
“Most importantly, I thank him for being firm about his directive that November 6th was the date for Oyo Congress. That at no time was October 30th approved by him for the APC Congress to hold.
“With the chairman of the Congess Committee present, he directed that November 6th be respected and stakeholders meet on Thursday to agree on a consensus list.
“The National Chiarman has demonstrated his commitment to party principles and building a strong and United party. He has renewed the hope of APC members in the party as one of Justice and fairness,” Dare added.
