The All Progressives Congress, APC, has more registered members in Oyo North senatorial district, the recently concluded membership has shown.
Made up of the 10 local government areas in Okeogun and 3 LGAs in Ogbomoso, it is being followed by Oyo South’s 9 LGAs and Oyo Central’s 11 LGAs.
Though OYOINSIGHT.COM cannot attribute any reason for the increase, there has been agitation for power shift from Ibadan that constitutes greater part of Oyo South to one of the two other districts.
A summary of the exercise showed that APC registered and validated 538,913 members in the state.
The report, a copy of which was obtained by OYOINSIGHT.COM, showed that APC registered 184,664 members in Oyo North, 181,288 in Oyo South and 172,961 in Oyo Central Senatorial District with 11 LGAs came third with registered members.
