The lawmaker representing Oyo Central senatorial district, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, has urged aggrieved aspirants on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to close ranks as elections beckon.
Summonu, a former speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, disclosed during a rally organized to received the party’s governorship candidate, Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin, to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital from Abuja where he had gone to perfect his nomination.
This is just as Sunmonu said those who mocked them when they were leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) had now seen that ADC was the right destination.
He tasked members to forge an indivisible unity ahead of the elections, while she tasked those still angry to bury the hatchet in the interest of the people of the state.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the party office in Samonda, Lanlehin appreciated everyone for their support, especially while the nomination process lasted, as well as fellow governorship contestants, for the opportunity given him to be the party’s candidate.
